How do you figure out how much my device is worth?
After you tell us about your device, we’ll instantly connect you with the best possible offer so you always know you’re getting top dollar.
Which devices can I trade in?
We accept a broad range of devices—including smartphones, tablets, MacBooks, iPhones, AirPods, Apple Watch, iPads, and more—even if they’ve been refurbished or repaired before.
What should I do to get my device ready before sending it in?
Before shipping your device, make sure to remove all your personal data and sign out of your accounts (like iCloud or FindMy). Choose a sturdy box, wrap your device securely with packing material, and ensure it won’t shift around. Seal it up tightly, and snap a few photos of your device and the package—these will be handy if anything unexpected happens in transit.
How do I send my device to you?
We’ve made shipping simple. Just show your QR code at USPS so they can print your free shipping label, or print the label at home if you prefer. If you’re eligible, you’ll receive a free mailing kit that comes with a label. Stick it on, drop off the package at the linked shipping provider, and you’re done!
How long do I have to ship my device after getting an offer?
Your offer stays valid for 15 days. If time gets away from you, no worries—just complete another Trade-in assessment and accept the new offer to get a fresh prepaid label. Keep in mind that your new offer could differ from the original.
What happens to my personal information once you receive my device?
We automatically erases all data as soon as your device arrives. If you prefer, you can wipe it yourself beforehand. Either way, rest assured your privacy is a top priority.
How do I receive my payment?
Just add your bank details (like account and routing numbers) along with the required personal information (date of birth and the last 4 digits of your SSN or your full driver’s license number) under “Trade-ins” > “Add payment details” in your Back Market account. Once that’s done, we’ll send your payment within 6 business days after the refurbisher releases the funds.
What happens to my device once you have it?
Once received, your device will be carefully refurbished and given a new life. If it’s beyond repair, its parts will be responsibly recycled. In either case, you’re helping reduce electronic waste and doing something great for our planet.
Can I recycle my device instead of trading it in?
Recycling is an excellent option if you’d rather not trade in. We’re working hard to launch our own recycling program in your area. Until then, we recommend searching for a reputable local recycler that follows sustainable, eco-friendly practices.
