The New Music Experience, which was created specifically for Siri, is only $4.99 per month.
Apple launched the Apple Music Voice Plan, a new Apple Music subscription tier built around Siri's capabilities. For $4.99 per month, Apple Music Voice Plan subscribers get access to the service's 90 million song catalogue, tens of thousands of playlists, including hundreds of brand new mood and activity playlists, personalized mixes, and genre stations, as well as the award-winning Apple Music Radio all via Siri.
According to Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Apple Music and Beats, "Apple Music and Siri are natural collaborators and already function effortlessly together." We're excited to add this new plan that gives a simple music experience just by using your voice and makes Apple Music accessible to even more people around the world, with Siri operating on hundreds of millions of devices worldwide.
Users may sign up for the Apple Music Voice Plan by telling Siri, "Hey Siri, start my Apple Music Voice test," or by visiting the Apple Music app and doing so. Users can pick music to be broadcast across all of their Voice assistant devices, including the HomePod Mini, AirPods, iPhone, or any other Apple device, as well as when using CarPlay, if they have subscribed to the Apple Music Voice Plan.
Apple Music is also introducing hundreds of new mood and activity playlists produced by Apple Music's editorial team and tailored just for voice. For a completely personalized music experience, subscribers can ask Siri to Play the dinner party playlist, Play something chill, or even Play more like this.
These new playlists are accessible to all Apple Music subscribers, and they make using Apple Music with Siri even better. All Apple Music playlists, including New Music Daily, Rap Life, Today's Hits, Today's Country, A-List Pop, R&B Now, and more, will be available to Apple Music Voice Plan subscribers.
The Apple Music Voice Plan will be available later this fall in Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Subscribers to the Apple Music Voice Plan will receive a personalized in-app experience with suggestions based on the listener's music choices and a queue of recently played music via Siri. Within the app, there will be a section called "Just Ask Siri" where members can learn how to customize Siri for Apple Music.
Apple Music subscribers can upgrade to the individual plan for $9.99 per month or the family plan for $14.99 per month at any time to have access to Apple Music's premium features, which include Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, Lyrics, Music Videos, and more.
