New iPhone 17 Pro Renders Spark Debate Over Design
Share
Fresh renders of the iPhone 17 Pro have surfaced, giving a closer look at what Apple’s next-generation Pro model could look like. The images were created by @asherdipps, the same artist behind the renders shared in a video by FPT.
A Bold Camera Redesign
One of the most noticeable changes in these renders is the massive camera bar that stretches across the back of the device. Unlike the iPhone 16 Pro, which has a vertical camera layout, this render shows a three-lens camera system positioned on the left side of the camera bar, while the flash, LiDAR, and microphone have been moved to the far right.
In a post on X, Asher commented:
"When put in good lighting, iPhone 17 Pro design suddenly looks... bearable."
A New Look That Divides Opinions
Asher also shared a mockup of the device in the Apple Store checkout page, playfully adding, "I would buy this."
While some fans seem to appreciate the new design, others remain skeptical. Notably, Digital Chat Station previously claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro would feature a "horizontal matrix" layout, a rumor that aligns with this render.
Is This Design Legitimate?
Despite the buzz, highly respected leaker Mark Gurman has stated that these renders are based on a fake late-January sketch. With conflicting reports, it's unclear whether this redesigned camera layout will actually make its way to the iPhone 17 Pro.
More Leaks to Come
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup this fall, and as we get closer to launch, more leaks and reports will help clarify what’s real and what’s not. In the meantime, the debate continues—will Apple go for a radical new design, or stick with the classic Pro look?
