iPhone 17 Lineup: Leaked Specs Reveal Apple’s 2025 Plans

Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup is shaping up to be one of the most exciting updates in years. According to a new report from Jeff Pu of GF Securities, all four models—iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max (possibly iPhone 17 Ultra)—will bring notable design and performance upgrades when they launch in September 2025.

What to Expect from the iPhone 17 Models

iPhone 17

The standard iPhone 17 will feature a 6.1-inch display and be powered by the A19 N3P chip with 8GB of RAM. Its camera system includes a 24MP front camera and a 48MP + 12MP rear setup. Built with an aluminum casing, this model will continue using Qualcomm’s baseband for connectivity and support 35W fast charging.

According to leaked dummy models, the iPhone 17’s dimensions will be 149.62mm x 71.46mm x 7.96mm, featuring a pill-shaped camera bump with vertically stacked lenses.

iPhone 17 Air

The iPhone 17 Air will also have a 6.1-inch display and the A19 N3P chip with 8GB of RAM, but it will stand out with a titanium casing and an ultra-slim profile. Its single 48MP rear camera is housed in a "runway strip" bump, along with the flash and microphone.

The biggest design change is its thinness—just 5.65mm thick. Leaked dimensions put it at 156.18mm x 74.71mm x 5.65mm, making it one of the thinnest iPhones ever.

iPhone 17 Pro

Moving up the lineup, the iPhone 17 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch display and run on the A19 Pro N3P chip with 12GB of RAM. Its camera system will feature a 24MP front camera and a powerful triple-lens rear setup, including:

  • 48MP main sensor
  • 48MP periscope telephoto lens
  • 48MP ultra-wide lens

The Pro model will stick with an aluminum casing, Qualcomm baseband, and 35W charging. It is expected to have a large camera bump extending across the back, with lenses on the left and LiDAR, flash, and microphone on the right. Dimensions from dummy leaks list it as 149.63mm x 71.44mm x 8.75mm.

iPhone 17 Pro Max (or Ultra?)

The largest and most premium model, potentially called the iPhone 17 Ultra, will feature a 6.9-inch display, A19 Pro N3P chip, and 12GB of RAM. It will share the same triple-lens rear camera system as the iPhone 17 Pro, with a periscope zoom for enhanced telephoto shots.

It will also have an aluminum build, Qualcomm baseband, and 35W charging. Based on the leaked dimensions—163.04mm x 77.59mm x 8.75mm—this will be Apple’s largest and most feature-packed iPhone yet.

Apple’s Manufacturing and Launch Timeline

Apple’s production partners Foxconn and Luxshare-ICT are involved in the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, with Luxshare-ICT handling the iPhone 17 Pro Max. NPI is the crucial stage where prototypes are refined before mass production begins.

A Big Year for iPhones

With thinner designs, better cameras, and new materials like titanium, the iPhone 17 lineup looks to bring a fresh feel to Apple’s 2025 smartphones. While we’re still over a year away from launch, these early leaks give us an exciting look at where Apple is headed. More details will likely emerge as development progresses, but one thing is clear—big changes are coming to the iPhone 17 series.
