iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. iPhone 15 Pro Max vs. iPhone 14 Pro Max: Which Boots Up the Fastest?
Share
We decided to put Apple’s latest iPhone 16 Pro Max to the test by comparing its boot speed to its predecessors, the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. With each new release, we expect faster performance, but the results this time might surprise you!
The Test Setup
For a fair comparison, all three iPhones were freshly restored to iOS 18.0 and configured identically. No apps were installed, and all settings were set to factory defaults, ensuring a clean slate for the ultimate boot-up showdown.
And the Winner Is…
Drumroll, please... the iPhone 14 Pro Max came out on top! That’s right, the oldest of the three devices booted up the fastest, beating the iPhone 15 Pro Max by a slight margin. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, took about four seconds longer to boot compared to both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Why Did the iPhone 16 Pro Max Lag Behind?
While it might seem odd that the latest iPhone didn’t win this race, there could be several reasons. Newer software and hardware can sometimes introduce more complex processes during boot-up, which might explain the slight delay. Rest assured, though, the iPhone 16 Pro Max still packs a punch in performance once it’s powered on!
