You shouldn't be bothered by your iPhone as frequently as it does.
Apple still needs to fix an issue in iOS 16. Senior manager Ron Huang promised a reader of MacRumors that the business would fix the issue with the repeated requests for permission whenever you try to copy and paste text between apps. According to Huang, this is "totally not expected behavior." The manager admitted that others were addressing the issue even though Apple didn't recognize it internally.
Huang didn't offer a patch's release date. Apple hasn't specified a release date for iOS 16.1, but it is already testing beta versions of the software that may contain a repair.
The issue is only the most recent in a string of issues that have plagued iOS 16 since its release earlier this month. Owners of the iPhone 14 Pro have voiced concerns about the camera shaking while using certain third-party apps and being unresponsive when sharing data from another iPhone. Even iPhone 14 units that couldn't correctly enable FaceTime or iMessage required a day-one fix from Apple. Operating system launch issues are obviously common, but these have been more annoying than usual.
The new prompt, which demands that apps request permission to use the clipboard, which can contain sensitive data, was added to iOS 16 as a privacy protection for consumers. However, as people install iOS 16, the question has grown irksome because it now repeatedly requests users' permission whenever they want to paste something into an app.
Apple has now answered, claiming that the feature is not meant to function with a persistent pop-up as consumer dissatisfaction with the behavior reaches a boiling point. Kieran, a MacRumors reader, complained about the persistent reminder in an email to Craig Federighi and Tim Cook, urging Apple to treat access to the clipboard the same way iOS does third-party access to location, camera, microphone, and other features.

It will probably be weeks before Apple releases iOS 16.1, which is presently undergoing beta testing with developers and the general public. The most recent iOS 16.0.1 update for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max fixed a fault that affected the activation of iMessage and FaceTime, among other things. The initial update of iOS 16 that was made available last week is still being used on all other compatible devices.
One of the issues Apple could address in an update to iOS 16 is the clipboard access fault. Other features include allegations of high battery drain and a problem with iPhone 14 Pro models becoming unresponsive after data is transferred from a previous iPhone.
