Apple Pays Tribute and Honors to Veterans in the United States

Apple honors those who serve and their families for their courage, dedication, and sacrifices on Veterans Day and throughout the year. Apple is celebrating veterans' stories, boosting support for their communities, and sharing their legacies with unique activations across Apple.com and its products and services in honor of veterans across the United States.

Apple Books is offering specialized eBook and audiobook collections to assist readers find stories and unearth history about conflict and the transition from battlefield to civilian life. On the Browse page of Apple Podcasts, listeners in the United States will find a collection of podcasts with inspirational and instructive stories produced by and about veterans.

Veterans Stories collection

The Veterans Stories collection on the Apple TV app honors veterans' service and sacrifices from the battlefield to the homefront, with inspiring documentaries like "Sky Blossom," sweeping tragedies, and even rebellious comedy.

Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., chief of staff of the US Air Force and the first African American to lead a branch of the armed forces, was featured in a new episode of Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk.

Brown explains how he overcame professional hurdles to earn the highest rank in the Air Force, as well as what it was like to speak out following the murder of George Floyd, on this Veterans Day walk. Time to Walk is a motivating audio experience on Apple Watch that features some of the world's most intriguing and powerful individuals sharing tales, photographs, and music to encourage Fitness+ users to get active by walking more regularly.

The Software Store today has a piece about Mindfulness Coach, a VA National Center for PTSD app that helps veterans and live service members engage in mindfulness activities.

Veterans Day Observances

A new 3D map of Washington, D.C., available on Apple Maps, allows users from all over the world to explore sites and memorials like the World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The National Park Foundation invites users to explore sites across the US that commemorate and honor veterans' service, from Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Massachusetts, to Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, California, in the US Military Heritage in National Parks guide.

By completing the Veterans Day Challenge, Apple Watch users in the United States can win a limited edition Activity award as well as animated stickers for messaging. To take part, Apple Watch owners can use the Workout app or any app that uploads workouts to Health on November 11 to record any workout lasting 11 minutes or longer.
