For small organizations, the new service, which is now in beta, combines device management, support, and storage into a single subscription.
Apple Business Essentials is a brand-new service from Apple that combines device management, 24/7 Apple Support, and iCloud storage into flexible subscription plans for enterprises with up to 500 employees. Apple also revealed a new Apple Business Essentials app, which allows employees to download work-related apps and get support.
Apple Business Essentials helps small businesses save time as they grow. The service, which is now in beta, helps small businesses manage their devices throughout their entire life cycle, from device setup through employee onboarding and device upgrades, while also providing strong security, prioritized support, and safe data storage and backup.
Collections have a Simple Setup and Onboarding Process
Apple Business Essentials is a comprehensive solution that simplifies Employee Onboarding by allowing a small business to design, install, and manage Apple products from any location.
Collections in Apple Business Essentials allow IT staff to customize settings and programs for particular users, groups, or devices. Collections deliver settings like VPN setups and Wi-Fi passwords to employees' corporate or personal devices when they login in with their work credentials. Additionally, Collections will put the new Apple Business Essentials app on each employee's home screen, allowing them to download business software such as Cisco Webex or Microsoft Word that have been assigned to them.
FileVault, Activation Lock, and User Enrollment provide Strong Security
Maintaining solid security across the enterprise is straightforward with Apple Business Essentials. Apple Business Essentials ensures that important security settings like FileVault for full-disk encryption on Mac and Activation Lock to protect devices that may be lost or stolen aren't accidentally turned off. User Enrollment enables cryptographic separation for work data when employees use a personal device at work, ensuring that employee data remains private while corporate data remains safe.
iCloud provides Secure Storage and Backup
In addition to Faster Setup and Onboarding, Apple Business Essentials includes a dedicated iCloud account for work, which allows for easy and secure file and document storage, backup, and collaboration. Business data is automatically stored and backed up in iCloud, making it simple to switch devices or upgrade to a new one.
AppleCare+ for Business Essentials provides Comprehensive Support and Repairs
Prioritized Apple Support gives businesses the option of providing rapid and dependable service for staff devices. When a company adds AppleCare+ for Business Essentials to its plan, it gets 24/7 phone assistance, training for IT managers and staff, and up to two device repairs each year. Employees can request repairs straight through the new Apple Business Essentials app, and an Apple-trained technician can be at their location in as little as four hours to get their devices back up and running.
Adaptable Subscriptions
Businesses can cover every person and device in their organization with a set of three easy Apple Business Essentials plans. Starting at $2.99 per month with optional AppleCare+ for Apple Business Essentials, plans can be tailored to support each user with up to three devices and up to 2TB of safe iCloud storage.
