Next year, you might see a 12-inch MacBook.
Apple's MacBook Air M2 could be the beginning of a laptop revolution. According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to deliver a 15-inch MacBook Air as early as spring 2023. It's possible that the corporation will return to little computers as well. It's rumored that Apple is working on a new 12-inch laptop that might be released in late 2023 or early 2024, so if you miss the 2015 MacBook but wish it had more modern hardware and a better keyboard, your desire may come true. Apple is also expected to release new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs in late 2022, according to the sources. However, these could be postponed until early 2023. Compared to the M1 Max's 10 processing cores and 32 graphics cores, the next Max chip would have up to 12 processing cores and 38 graphics cores. Apple was rumored to be considering introducing a 15-inch MacBook Air this year, but decided against it in order to focus on the 13-inch model it just launched this week. There were rumblings of a bigger Air in March, when Display Supply Chain analyst Ross Young suggested one was in the works. It wouldn't be shocking if the Air grew in size. The Air was verified as Apple's best-selling laptop at WWDC 2022, and a 15-inch version could appeal to users who want a larger screen but don't require the performance and capabilities of the more costly MacBook Pro series. It would also make sense in light of iPhone 14 rumors suggesting that you won't need to buy the Pro model to obtain a big screen. Simply said, Apple's long-standing policy of reserving huge displays for its most expensive products may be coming to an end. According to Bloomberg, the 15-inch MacBook Air might be released as early as spring 2023. On the other hand, the 12-inch laptop could be released in late 2023 or early 2024. While the 12-inch laptop remains a mystery with few data available, the 15-inch MacBook Air caters to consumers looking for a larger form factor MacBook without spending nearly $3,000. Of course, there will be a performance difference, but this MacBook Air is designed for consumers who desire a larger form factor without the top-notch performance that a MacBook Pro provides. Bloomberg's sources also disclosed some information for individuals looking for the best MacBooks. Newer MacBook Pro models featuring the improved M2 chip are in the pipeline, according to sources. These could appear in 2022, but they could vanish by early 2023. Enhanced versions of the M2 chip may be included in future MacBook Pros, similar to prior models that had upgraded versions of the M1, like as the M1 Pro and M1 Max chip.
