The iPadOS 16 beta is also available.
The upcoming major releases of Apple's various operating systems will go on sale in a few months. However, you may currently test out tvOS 16, iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, and macOS Ventura. A few weeks after providing the first developer betas, Apple published a public beta. You must enrol in the Apple Beta Software Program and follow the instructions in order to access them. Remember that Apple might not have found and fixed all of the problems. Before installing any beta, make sure to backup your data (though backing up regularly is always a good practice). You will have the choice to take your smartphone out of the open beta program and downgrade its OS. Some of the new features in iOS 16 are manageable. There are new layout and customization options for the lock screen, including dynamic wallpapers, among them. You can now track things like sports scores and transport schedules with Live Activities while Notifications and Focus Mode have also been updated. Finally, Face ID will function in landscape mode, and the Fitness app will no longer require an Apple Watch. Additionally new are the features that allow you to edit messages after you send them in Messages, report spam text messages, use Wallet's Pay Later feature, and schedule emails in the Mail app. Additionally, there are other upgrades planned for Apple Maps, CarPlay, and Family Sharing. There will also be a "extreme" security option for prominent users. Better multitasking settings in iPadOS 16 will give you more choice over how to resize apps with, say, overlapping windows. However, some of the capabilities are exclusive to iPads running M1 software. Other features include support for external screens, document collaboration in the Google Drive format, and (later this year) SharePlay capabilities in Game Center. Apple has also prioritized multitasking in macOS Ventura. By app, windows on the side of your screen can be grouped and arranged using the Stage Manager tool. In addition to the ability to share tab groups in Safari and the new security feature called passkeys, which will employ Face ID and Touch ID for identification, there will be an undo send option in the Mail app. Additionally, an iPhone can function as a webcam for your Mac. Apple significantly improves the fitness functions in watchOS 9. For your workouts, you can choose between distance and duration intervals. You will be able to see the heart rate zones you are in while exercising and sleeping. Additionally, Apple promises enhanced medication reminders and sleep tracking. In comparison to some of the other devices, tvOS 16 upgrades are minimal. Full support for the Matter smart home standard has been added, which is a significant update. The Joy-Con and Switch Pro controllers from Nintendo will be supported by tvOS, as it appears to be on iOS 16. With this year's OS updates, Apple is discontinuing support for a number of outdated devices. For instance, you'll need an iPhone 8 or later to utilize iOS 16.
