It's Possible that Apple's Long-Rumored Mixed Reality Headset will launch this spring

It's possible that the company's other items will suffer as a result of the introduction.
Apple's long-rumored augmented and virtual reality headset is almost ready after years of research. Prior to its annual WWDC conference in June, the Apple intends to introduce the device this spring, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. Apple apparently shared the headset with a select group of well-known software developers, giving them an early peek at its new "xrOS" operating system, as a sign that a launch is finally in the works. Gurman anticipates Apple will release "Reality Pro" in the fall after making the announcement in the spring.
The remainder of Apple's 2023 product range will be impacted by the final push to get the headset out the door. Software-wise, Apple's reassignment of software engineers to the xrOS team means that the company's upcoming release of its iOS operating system is likely to contain "fewer important changes than originally expected." Gurman continues, "MacOS 14 is the same." Even less exciting are Apple's hardware ambitions. There are no upcoming "of note" improvements from the firm for the iPad, Apple Watch, or audio lines. New iPad Pro models with OLED panels are coming, according to Gurman, although they probably won't happen until 2024. He expresses his concern that the next Apple Silicon MacPro will be "yet another disappointment."
According to reports, the upcoming desktop will have the same design as its 2019 forerunner, and due to Apple's M-series chipset architecture, you won't be able to expand the computer's RAM on your own.
A new 15-inch MacBook Air and the iPhone 15 may be the sole highlights in a lacklustre release schedule. Gurman claims that the latter will be present throughout the whole iPhone 15 series, along with USB-C charging and Apple's new Dynamic Island feature. The Pro models will also have haptic volume buttons and redesigned titanium frames.
This year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be preceded by the release of Apple's mixed reality headset, according to Mark Gurman's most recent Power On newsletter. This rollout occurs a little later than originally anticipated, in January. However, a small delay won't really matter as long as the product finally makes it to market!
It's important to keep in mind that the Apple headset, which may be known as the Reality Pro, won't be accessible immediately away. Gurman claims that after the software features have been thoroughly vetted by developers, Apple will release the product in the fall of 2023.
The AR/VR headset is now being tested by various well-known developers. There are still a lot of software and hardware "kinks" that need to be ironed out before the headset can be made widely available. Additionally, Apple must decide how to sell the headset, which is expected to be this year's "hot new arrival."
The headgear is anticipated to run xrOS, sometimes known as "Borealis." Although first, it was claimed to go by the name RealityOS. We may anticipate that the gadget will feature Mac-level computing power, include specialized chips, and have a proper App Store for full app support.
To compete with the likes of Meta's Quest Pro and even the recently released HTC Vive XR Elite, the Apple headset may have two 4K tiny OLED screens, support for iris recognition for payments and other purposes, and a ton more features. We anticipate a debut this year, so official information should be forthcoming. So, keep checking for new information.
Gurman has also disclosed that new MacBook Pros with M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs, a new Mac Pro, a larger iMac Pro, a 15-inch MacBook Air, as well as updated iPads and Apple Watches, are all expected from Apple.
