First Look at iOS 19? Leaker Shares VisionOS-Inspired Redesign Ahead of WWDC

A new video from leaker Jon Prosser may have just given us our first unofficial look at Apple’s upcoming iOS 19 update, and if the leak is accurate, we’re in for a sleek and stylish visual overhaul. The video, posted on the Front Page Tech YouTube channel, is said to be based on real insider information, though Prosser notes that the footage is a recreation of what he saw, not official material.

What’s New in iOS 19?

According to Prosser, iOS 19 will feature a modern, glassy aesthetic inspired by visionOS, with rounded edges, fluid animations, and dark mode playing a central role. While no major functional changes or AI additions were evident in the version he saw, the focus was clearly on stylistic upgrades.

Some of the updated areas include:

  • A revamped lock screen notification system
  • New UI for system apps like Music, TV, and Calendar
  • Settings menus that feel more fluid and visually rich
  • A refreshed floating keyboard, still familiar in layout but redesigned with visionOS-inspired elements

What About the Home Screen?

There’s been speculation about whether Apple will introduce round app icons in iOS 19. Prosser says the version he viewed retained the current icon shape, but notes that the redesign isn’t finalized. He points to existing Apple apps like Sports and Invites, which already reflect the new design language, as clues that the company has been gradually shifting toward this look.

Why Now?

Apple today confirmed its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place June 9–13, 2025, where iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 are expected to debut. Prosser had previously hinted at a redesigned Camera app back in April, and this latest video expands on that leak by showing a more complete view of the system’s new interface.

In Line with Other Reports

This leak lines up with earlier reporting from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who recently described iOS 19 as one of the biggest redesigns in iOS history. Apple reportedly delayed the visual overhaul in 2024 to prioritize the rollout of Apple Intelligence, and it seems 2025 is now the year it all comes together.

Final Thoughts

While Prosser’s track record with Apple leaks has been hit or miss, the level of detail in this new report and its alignment with Gurman’s analysis adds weight to the claims. Of course, we’ll have to wait until WWDC in June for the official reveal, but if this leak is any indication, iOS 19 could offer a fresh and exciting new look for the iPhone.
