New Photos Showcase ‘Unbelievably’ Thin iPhone 17 Air Dummy Model
Share
If you’ve been following the iPhone 17 Air rumors, the latest leak might just take your anticipation to the next level. Leaker Sonny Dickson has posted new images on X today, giving us a closer look at alleged dummy models for the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup—including the incredibly slim iPhone 17 Air.
The photos compare side profiles of the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. What immediately stands out is just how thin the Air model appears next to the others. Even in a still image, the difference is dramatic.
Dickson captioned one of the images by pointing out the “unbelievably” thin design of the Air model, especially when viewed from the side. The sleek frame looks closer to a sheet of metal than a smartphone, and it’s already being called one of the boldest design moves Apple may be planning.
This new image set follows another batch posted by Dickson just a day earlier, showing the same dummy models in both black and white. While we still don’t know which colors Apple will go with for the final release, there’s a growing buzz around a new Sky Blue option for the iPhone 17 Pro, possibly matching the finish used on the latest M4 MacBook Air.

It’s not just the looks turning heads—leaked specs suggest the Air will come in at just 5.65mm thick. For comparison, that’s thinner than any current iPhone, and it could mark a major leap in Apple’s engineering. The iPhone 17 Air is also rumored to include a titanium alloy frame, a single-lens rear camera, and a focus on lightweight performance.

As always, Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet—but if these dummy units are accurate, the iPhone 17 Air could end up being one of the most striking devices in Apple’s history.
